About - A Brooklyn studio, building software since 2001.

The plans for BKNY Labs were forged in the early days of the Internet. Through the open-source era, the Brooklyn studio became a specialist in the platforms that gave nonprofits, schools, museums, and design firms affordable paths to serious websites. Custom builds, integrations, and ongoing operations came from the same studio, with engagements that grew into partnerships.

Our next chapter is products and partnership. The products — an AI hub for nonprofit operations, an AI search layer for editorial archives, and a financial-literacy platform for the next generation — are where the studio is heading. The partnerships are the model: working with nonprofits to scope what they actually need, and helping them secure the grants that fund technology, digital operations, and AI.
